Brief Description of Requirement The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) Office for Product Safety and Standards have a requirement to appoint a Contractor who will test a selection of end of life appliances to verify compliance with the applicable regulations. The primary objective of this work is to generate high quality evidence in order to help OPSS to understand exactly how safe 2nd hand appliances are compared to when they were new. The Major Domestic Appliances within scope of this work are: fridge-freezers, dishwashers, tumble dryers and washing machines. The purpose of this framework is to appoint 2 suppliers to provide testing services for end of life domestic appliances against safety standards.
