This commission is being taken forward jointly by the West London Alliance (a partnership comprising the boroughs of Barnet, Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham, Hillingdon and Hounslow) and Transport for London. Ealing Council will be the formal client, but the project will be overseen by a joint WLA/TfL steering group. The work will involve: - Providing advice about the amounts that could realistically be sought from development in West London through CIL and/or s106 to contribute towards the costs of developing/implementing the WLO -and about potential impacts on development viability and other policy requirements and steps that could be taken to mitigate them (such as differential CIL rates by use/location/scale of development) - Providing advice on steps that could be taken to seek s106 contributions to fund development of the WLO project. - Providing advice and, as far as possible, quantifying the scope for the WLO to accelerate housing delivery in West London as well as supporting an increase in overall numbers.
