## Summary

The ESPO (Eastern Shires Purchasing Organisation) is currently at the award stage for the procurement of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and clothing under the title "144_19 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) & Clothing". This tender falls within the garments industry category and is located in Leicester, England. The contract period commences on 7th September 2019 and ends on 6th September 2021, with a total estimated value of £12,000,000. The framework agreement allows for an extension of up to 24 months and operates under an open procurement method, where subsequent call-off contracts could be awarded through an eAuction process. The closing date for tender submissions was 8th July 2019.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in garments, particularly those focused on protective clothing and uniforms across various sectors, including corporate, health and social care, education, catering, leisure, and emergency services. Both small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) stand to benefit from participating in this procurement process. Given the broad range of required items across multiple lots, suppliers of workwear, safety equipment, and related accessories are well-positioned to compete for this contract and establish long-term relationships with public sector clients in the UK.
