## Summary

Warwickshire County Council (WCC) is currently initiating a tender for the project titled "WCC - All Age Carer Wellbeing and Support Services," aimed at enhancing support for carers across all age groups in Warwickshire. This tender is categorised under health and social work services and is set to conclude on 6th October 2021, with the contract period expected to start from 7th October 2021 and running for a duration of two days. The procurement process is currently at the planning stage, inviting discussions and feedback from providers on potential commissioning models, rather than soliciting formal tenders at this time.

This initiative presents a significant opportunity for businesses focused on social services, particularly those offering mental health support, community engagement programmes, and respite services for carers. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are well-positioned to engage in this market testing activity. By participating, these organisations can influence the final commissioning framework and position themselves to provide valuable services tailored to local needs, helping to foster community well-being while expanding their service capabilities in Warwickshire.

## Notice

Warwickshire County Council (WCC) currently commissions a Carer Wellbeing services (from age 18yrs) and a young carer support service (from 6yrs+ to 25yrs). Parent carers are currently being supported by WCC's Children with Disability team via a Parent Carer Support Pathway. These services provide support to: o promote mental and physical wellbeing, o reduce loneliness and isolation, o ensure carers feel connected o Ensure carers can access breaks and respite o assist with support and emergency planning, o peer support and group activities, 1:1 support, information, signposting and referral support on anything relevant to the carers needs. We invite discussions on what models we could potentially consider for commissioning that will provide carers with support that is flexible, adaptable and responsive to local needs. Providers can therefore choose to respond to the market testing packs that focus on areas (this could be locality or subject/specialism related) they are interested in delivering and are therefore not expected to complete all parts of the market testing pack This is not a procurement/tender exercise. Providers are invited to engage with this market testing activity to help inform the commissioning of an All Age Carer wellbeing and support service model in Warwickshire.
