Of our 65,000 homes, more than 70% are let at a social or affordable rent, while around 10,000 are owned or part-owned by the people who live in them. Guinness Property (GP) is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Guinness Partnership and carries out responsive repairs, empty homes work (including component replacement works (kitchens, bathrooms) to around 46,000 properties in the North West, North East, South Central, South Coast and London regions. To support with reducing Guinness Properties existing works backlog. GP is looking to appoint contractors to operate within its North East region delivering Empty Homes & Responsive repairs (groundworks). Geographical sectors for the North East are as detailed below North East 8a - Wakefield, Leeds, Selby 8ai - Harrogate 8b - Scunthorpe, Grimsby 8c - Sheffield 8d - Barnsley 8e - Doncaster 8f - Chesterfield 8g - Nottingham, Derby 8h - Peak District Bidders will be allowed to submit bids for one, two or any number of sectors in order to ensure SME's are given equal and fair opportunity.
