## Summary

The procurement process for the "Northern Waste Haulage Service" is managed by Staffordshire County Council and falls under the "services" industry category, specifically "refuse transport services." Located in the West Midlands, United Kingdom, this procurement involves the haulage of waste streams across various locations such as Leek, Stoke-on-Trent, Wolverhampton, Cannock, and Stone. The process progressed from the tender stage, with an open procedure starting its tender period on 18th February 2025 and concluding on 25th March 2025. The contract was awarded on 20th May 2025 to Bulk Freight (Midlands) Ltd for a value of £1,500,000, with a contract period from 1st June 2025 to 31st May 2032.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in waste management and transport services. Given the substantial annual waste volume, it could be particularly lucrative for small and medium-sized enterprises that can efficiently manage logistics across multiple waste transfer and treatment sites. The open procurement method ensures that competitive and capable businesses have an equitable chance to bid, enhancing prospects for enterprises with experience in regional waste management and transport across the specified areas. Firms that are well-equipped to handle large-scale waste transfer efficiently and sustainably will find this procurement process an encouraging prospect for business growth and service expansion.
