## Summary

Surrey County Council has completed the award stage of its procurement process titled "SCC Independent Alternative Provision Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for children and young people with additional needs and disabilities - Admission Round 3". This process is categorised under health and social work services and operates within the South East region of the United Kingdom. The procurement, conducted under the 'Light Touch Regime' of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, uses a Dynamic Purchasing System with selective procurement methods. It includes several lots such as tutoring, specialist teachers, registered therapies, and post-16 support services, with both online and face-to-face provisions. The contract began on 7th July 2025 and will run until 6th July 2029, with a total estimated value of £57.2 million.

The DPS creates numerous opportunities for growth among businesses specialising in education and support services, particularly those with expertise in providing tailored support to young people with additional needs. SMEs and VCSE organisations are particularly well-suited to register as providers, given the open, ongoing nature of the application process and the flexible evaluation rounds. This system's arrangement allows for a wide range of service providers to potentially secure contracts, thereby fostering healthy competition and innovation in service provision. Suppliers already involved include both large and SME-sized companies, reflecting a diverse supplier base capable of delivering an array of educational and support services.
