## Summary

The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in Birmingham is conducting a pre-market engagement exercise for a Patient Reporting Outcome Measures (PROMs) platform. This platform aims to collect and assess patients' self-reported health status before and after orthopaedic surgeries. The procurement process is currently at the planning stage, with an engagement end date on 6th September 2024 for one notice and 30th August 2024 for another. Located in the West Midlands, the procurement falls under the industry category of software supply services and IT services including consulting, software development, internet, and support. Interested suppliers need to respond via an online form on the Health Family Single eCommercial System Portal by their respective deadlines.

This tender represents a substantial growth opportunity for businesses specialising in software development, particularly those experienced in healthcare solutions and data management systems. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can benefit significantly by proposing tailored solutions that address the needs of the NHS trust's extensive patient base. Companies that can offer innovative, user-friendly, and compliant software capable of enhancing patient care and improving operational efficiencies will be well-positioned to compete for this engagement.

## Notice

The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital (ROH) in Birmingham is seeking to engage with suppliers interested in its requirements for a patient Reporting Outcome measures System (Proms) platform. The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (ROH (Royal Orthopaedic Hospital)) is one of the largest specialist orthopaedic units in Europe, offering planned orthopaedic surgery to people locally, nationally, and internationally. Situated in the south of Birmingham, five miles from Birmingham City Centre, it provides services to a population of around 1.3 million. The ROH became a foundation trust in 2007 Patient reported outcome measures (PROMs) are questionnaires that ask about patients health and wellbeing. The information given can help to monitor progress and recovery, help identify any issues patients are experiencing and allow insight into outcomes to improve care and treatment pathways. Outcome measures make it much easier to co-produce personalised care plans. PROMs are a nationally mandated data collection for all providers of NHS-funded care since April 2009. Data is published nationally on a monthly basis. PROMs comprise a pair of questionnaires completed by the patient, one before and one at least six months after surgery. Patients' self-reported health status (sometimes referred to as health-related quality of life) is assessed through a mixture of generic and condition-specific questions. For each patient, the PROMs dataset includes the following: * patient-identifiable information, which is used for linkage purposes and not made available for wider analysis * a condition-specific measure of self-reported health status * generic measures of self-reported health status [Please see documents for further information] Suppliers wishing to participate in this market engagement exercise and express an interest in this requirement should respond to the questionnaire via the online form on the Health Family Single eCommercial System Portal (Atamis) by 15:00 on Friday 30th August 2024. https://health-family.force.com/s/Welcome Please search for C299483 To View documents please register interest and then navigate "My Proposals and quotes"
