The slippage issues have been highlighted within the Section 10 report, however the slips have not yet been assessed as being a Measure in the Interest of Safety (MIOS). The repairing the left hand side embankment is required as a preventative measure to ensure the embankment does not become a MIOS. This will ensure a longer residual life for the asset at a lower cost than a repair of a failing asset would.
