## Summary

The procurement process relates to the provision of a Careers Guidance and Work Experience service, commissioned by oneSource on behalf of schools in Newham, London. The contract was awarded on 6th October 2017, with a contract period extending until 31st August 2018, and the opportunity can be extended for an additional two years at the buyer's discretion. The total contract value is £900,000, with an annual funding allowance of £13,000 to £16,000 per school, intended for delivering at least 35 days of direct careers guidance and managing work experience for up to 300 students per school each year. The procurement method used was an open procedure, reflecting a commitment to transparency and inclusivity in the bidding process.

This tender presents significant growth opportunities for businesses providing career guidance services, particularly those experienced in working with young people and educational institutions. Companies that specialise in delivering innovative and flexible educational services, including independent career advisors, counselling providers, and organisations skilled in fostering partnerships with schools, would be well-positioned to compete. The focus on vulnerable young people's support further encourages businesses with a social value agenda, enhancing their ability to contribute positively to community resilience while potentially benefiting from the framework agreement put in place by the council.
