This RFI is intended to identify possible solutions that will meet the LDLs' requirements for secure access over the course of the next decade. The British Library is currently within a period of significant change to its core infrastructure. At present, its digital repository architecture utilizes a custom-built digital library system and metadata repository storing over 700 TB of content, with new ingest rates of approximately 1.5 TB per day. These are anticipated to grow to 5-10TB per day over the next few years with the aid of a new repository solution. Collection items and metadata held in these systems must persist and grow despite changes in the surrounding technical landscape.
