The case for direct award can be found on the tender portal. During 2020-21 University of Exeter has been identified as having developed an Advanced Practice, mental Health offer that was aligned to the Multi-Professional Approved/Responsible Clinician, Mental Health Training Course. This specialist P Cert level course combines both academic and practical clinical experience. Since then, the Trust has continued to develop the programme, giving vital feedback to HEE in order to support the large-scale multiple year procurement which will follow shortly. The supplier have demonstrated their ability to develop and deliver a regionally based, high impact training programme for trainees. Owing to the complex nature of the programme seamless continuity is essential. If the existing supplier is unable to continue providing the service and lead on rolling out the course across the regions then it will be detrimental for the following reasons: * To become an Approved Clinician, there is a statutory requirement to produce a portfolio demonstrating competence and attendance at a two-day induction.
