The information gathered will enable informed decision making on how best to re-provide the council's real estate conveyancing services in the future to achieve desired outcomes and to gauge whether there is interest in the market to deliver this service for the council. The requirement of the service is to deliver on the myriad of conveyancing transactions from standard Right to Buy, Social Home Buy, Equity Loans, Enfranchisement, and litigious matters. This service is currently provided in a single contract by one provider. We are looking at all options in order to properly assess whether a single contract moving forward is the most effective option or whether there is a different structure that could better meet the council's needs. To assist in our assessment of the market we have provided the attached questionnaire for completion. We ask that completed questionnaires are returned by 5:00pm Tuesday 28 February 2017. If respondees have any queries on this questionnaire these should be sent to hsg.conveyancing@southwark.gov.uk. Southwark Council is undertaking this preliminary market consultation to determine whether there is a general market interest and/or an alternative delivery model that could be considered to deliver the council's real estate conveyancing requirements. This is not a call for competition.
