The overall scheme will implement a continuous cycleway for cyclists of all ages and abilities between the main hubs of Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham, Gloucester and Stroud, utilising London Road, Cheltenham Road, B4063, A40 and A435. This contract is looking for a Principal Contractor to deliver the construction phase of Honeybourne Line to Racecourse Roundabout. A more detailed summary of the works is included below: Construction Phase key Deliverables are as follows: Provide suitable Traffic Management during the construction works. Pedestrian access to residents always during the construction works. Utility diversion works (being arranged by GCC for PC to liaise/accommodate). New drainage works and tie-in to existing. A mixture of Highway, segregated footway / cycleway track and new shared use path construction. Remove existing and install new kerbs to match new alignment. Junction and carriageway realignments. Installation of new informal/formal pedestrian crossings. Carriageway surfacing repairs and reprofiling. New traffic signals facilities across the route. Landscape and planting. Streetlighting column relocation.
