## Summary

The procurement process for the SMARTLINE Project, titled "Sensor Installation, Maintenance and Removal," was conducted by the University of Exeter and classified under the industry category of building installation work, with specific focus on electrical installation and maintenance services. This tender falls within the open procurement method and was in the award stage as of August 18, 2017. The contract period began on November 2, 2017, and is set to conclude on February 28, 2020. The work involved installing sensors and associated equipment in homes across the South West region of the United Kingdom, and the deadline for the tender submission was August 7, 2017.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses, especially those specialising in electrical installation, sensor technology, and maintenance services. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are particularly encouraged to compete, given the nature of the work that involves both installation and ongoing maintenance. Engaging in such projects can not only enhance business growth but also establish long-term partnerships within the public sector, especially for companies that can effectively deliver high-quality installations and responsive service support.
