## Summary

The MINISTRY OF DEFENCE is currently executing a procurement process for the "Degree Engineering Apprentice Training" programme, targeting the technical training services sector. This tender, identified as DTEC/239, is part of an initiative to recruit and train up to 20 Engineering apprentices annually, based at DE&S HQ in Abbey Wood, Bristol. The restricted procedure will be used for this selective procurement, with the tender period closing on 13th January 2017. The contract is scheduled to start on 4th April 2017 and run until 31st August 2026, with a total estimated value of £4.5 million and minimum contract value of £869,716.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for companies specialising in training services and those with expertise in vocational education, especially in the engineering and defence sectors. Businesses that can provide comprehensive academic and vocational training, as well as assessment and moderation services, would be well-suited to compete. Additionally, those experienced in working with government funding frameworks and capable of administering skills funding agency requirements may find this tender particularly advantageous for growth and collaboration with a key government entity.
