1508/311/SW/CTI/16 Steel/Nickel Base (Air) Heat Treatment Facility The University of Sheffield wishes to invite tenders for the supply of a Steel/Nickel Base (Air) Heat Treatment Facility for use within the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre's Castings Group at Catcliffe, Rotherham. Scope of Requirement: The requirement is for a Steel (Air) Heat Treatment Facility which has the ability to heat treat steel/Nickel based castings up to 1250 degrees Celsius. It is envisaged that the facility will consist of two furnaces, a transfer system, quench tank, and all appropriate ancillary equipment for the complete heat treatment of castings. Tender Process and Documentation: This procurement is an open E.U. exercise carried out in support of a Prior Information Notice published on the 5th of August 2016 http://ted.europa.eu/udl?uri=TED:NOTICE:270822-2016:TEXT:EN:HTML The University has exercised its right to reduce the time limit for receipt of tenders to 15 days.
