This will be in agreement with SCC Commissioners The aim of the service is to work to build resilience and help individuals to develop positive coping strategies in their lives enabling them to manage their mental health and prevent the need for longer term support. This approach also supports self-growth and development, so that individuals can access mainstream activities within their community which may include support to return to work, education, volunteering and employment. This educationally focussed service prevents the need for support from long term services and actively avoids hospital admissions. The service has the following specific features: * The service is delivered in the local community * The service is accessed by the local population with identified needs * The service reflects the needs of the population * Individuals have needs met and are discharged to primary care/ GP 3.2 Service description The provider will deliver a range of psycho-educational groups; * Managing Depression * Anxiety Management With the scope to mobilise and grow the offer in consultation and agreement with SCC The workbooks that are supplied are copyrighted to SHSC and will be used by the provider. We expect no deviation from the content; however the delivery can be altered to suit the audience. We will need the provider to use the most recent version of the workbooks which are attached in the appendix below.
