D-lnfo has been directed to assume responsibility as the Army's ISTAR proponent and establish a HoC Information Manoeuvre (WEF 1 Sep 17). Currently, there is no provision of individual IST AR training in the Land Environment (LE) beyond cap badge-specific Phase 2 training (predominantly INT CORPS) and employment training on specific capabilities (e.g. MUAS or EWSI). This is an Army-wide issue with numerous posts that have IST AR as a primary or secondary role that require IST AR individual training.
