## Summary

Swale Borough Council is currently at the award stage of the procurement process for a project entitled "Staying Put Disabled Facilities Grant Work." This initiative falls under the construction industry and seeks to facilitate various home adaptations, primarily involving shower room conversions and external ramp installations, aimed at assisting older and vulnerable residents in Swale, located in the South East of England. The contract is valued at £8,000,000 and commenced on 30 April 2020, with a potential extension allowing it to continue until April 2022. Interested suppliers had until 15 August 2019 to submit their Expressions of Interest and Invitations to Tender through the Council's e-tendering portal.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) specialising in construction, home adaptations, and related services to grow their business. Contractors capable of delivering urgent hospital discharge works and other necessary home modifications would be well positioned to compete. The framework will be open to various services, including handy person works, minor repairs, and external adaptations, providing ample avenues for engaged businesses to expand their service offerings in response to the pressing needs of the community.
