## Summary

Birmingham City Council has recently completed the award of a contract for the Delivery of School Health Support Services. This open procurement process was initiated to enhance the health and wellbeing of children and young people in Birmingham. The contract, now awarded, will last for three years starting from 1st September 2019, with a value of £8,127,290. The service aims to support schools in addressing the medical needs of pupils, thereby facilitating their engagement and attendance. The deadline for tender submissions was 4th March 2019, and all services are to be provided within the West Midlands region, specifically at Birmingham's delivery addresses.

This opportunity is particularly advantageous for health service providers and organisations specialising in community health services, including those focused on child and family support. Businesses that can offer innovative solutions for integrating health services with educational frameworks, or those with experience in engaging with children and young people with diverse needs, will find this tender well-suited to their capabilities. The re-advertised nature of the contract, combined with additional funding and extended duration, presents a unique chance for businesses to contribute meaningfully to the health and educational landscape in Birmingham.
