## Summary

The Huntingdonshire District Council is currently seeking tenders for the replacement of the existing skate park located at Hill Rise Park. This project falls under the category of "Repair and maintenance services of playground equipment" and has a budget of £80,000. The tender announcement was published on 19th March 2019, with the submission deadline set for 24th April 2019 at 23:59. Successful bidders will begin contract work on 3rd May 2019, which is expected to conclude by 30th September 2019. The procurement method utilised for this process is an open procedure, inviting a broad range of participants to submit their proposals.

This tender presents a valuable opportunity for businesses in the construction and maintenance sector, particularly those specialising in leisure and playground facilities. Companies experienced in concrete work and park design would be well-prepared to compete, especially given the phased approach to the project, which allows for flexibility in proposals based on potential funding for the second phase. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are encouraged to participate, broadening competition and potentially enhancing community-based projects in the region.

## Notice

At present on site there is an old skate park that consists of a variety of verts, volcano, jump box and street style equipment which is now nearing the end of its life and we wish to replace with a new concrete skate park. The budget for this new facility is a maximum of PS80,000 and this will need to include all the requirements below. We appreciate that PS80,000 may not be enough to replace all of the ramps and therefore would be looking at a two phase project on this site. This would mean that in phase 1 we look at replacing the metal " Wembley gap/quarter pipe/mini ramp" the small combination box and possible one of the quarter pipes that all run down one half of the site. This would leave the other half with its tarmac pad and ramps for phase 2 when funding is available so will mean that any new design for phase 1 must flow to the usage of what old ramps remain.
