Currently, many methods are used to understand the environmental impacts of food on the environment - from product approaches to landscape approaches, farm level initiatives to accreditation schemes. These different approaches often lead to confusion amongst food stakeholders and hinder action. It is only by understanding how the various approaches are part of a cohesive whole, that we can make useful policy changes and decisions about the food we produce, provide and consume.
