## Summary

Ofcom, the communications regulator in the UK, is conducting a tender process for "C20190293 - Welsh Language Translation" services. This procurement falls under the services industry category and is situated in Wales, with a contract value of £350,000. The tender period is set to end on 4th November 2019, while the contract is anticipated to commence on 1st December 2019 and run until 30th November 2024. This open procurement process is designed to facilitate a range of translation services, including the accurate and timely translation of materials from English to Welsh and vice versa, as well as simultaneous translation when required.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses that specialise in translation and language services, particularly those with proven capabilities in Welsh language translation. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) would be well-suited to compete for this contract, given the preference for agile providers that can manage multiple projects and adhere to tight deadlines. The need for a cloud-based dictionary of complex terms and regular contract management meetings also indicates a requirement for collaborative and innovative solutions that could provide a competitive edge.
