This procurement process, currently in the planning stages, is focused on research and development services, particularly those addressing economic and social research and evaluation consultancy. An early engagement notice has been published, with key milestones including an engagement end date set for 20 December 2019. GCRF is an PS1.5 billion fund announced in 2015 by the UK Government to support cutting edge-research that addresses the challenges faced by developing countries. BEIS is committed to undertaking a robust evaluation of the management and impact of the fund. An inception stage has taken place to develop a theory of change and provide advice on a possible evaluation strategy. We anticipate that the value of the contract for the evaluation will be between PS2.5-PS3million. Full details of this requirement will only be shared with relevant Research Marketplace suppliers when the competition launches in late November.
