Companies with expertise in providing one-to-one or tailored education, as well as those possessing a pool of qualified staff ready for immediate deployment, would be well-positioned to engage in similar future tenders. By responding effectively to such contracts, businesses can contribute to vital social services while also expanding their market presence within the public sector.

## Notice

ERYC children looked after (CLA) may be placed out of county in a care provision to meet their needs. When this is an emergency placement the CLA usually have complex needs which cannot be met in a mainstream school and an alternative specialist education provision is required. It is impossible to secure immediate alternative specialist education to meet the statutory duty to educate CLA. Where interim arrangements are needed the Vulnerable Children's Education Team will contact the host Local Authority where the CLA is placed for a recommendation of who locally can provide tuition in the interim period. Host Local Authorities have recommended Teaching Personnel to meet requirements due to their specialist pool of staff who could be accessed immediately to provide one to one or one to two tuition.
