## Summary

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) and the City of Westminster (WCC) undertook a selective procurement process to establish a Core Drugs and Alcohol Treatment Service. This includes two lots: Lot 1 for Substance Misuse Treatment and Lot 2 for Alcohol Specific Treatment. The procurement was initiated with a total value of approximately £46.1 million, with a minimum value of £32.7 million, and contracts awarded on 2nd March 2021 for services commencing on 1st July 2021 and extending for up to seven years. The primary location for service delivery is London, and the industry category is identified under community health services (CPV code 85323000).

This tender presents significant opportunities for growth, particularly for businesses specialising in health services, addiction treatment, and social care. Companies that are equipped to deliver community-based health services and have experience working with underrepresented groups or those in the criminal justice system will find themselves well-positioned to compete. Additionally, organisations that can offer comprehensive training packages or collaborate with local authorities may enhance their competitiveness in this robust contracting environment.
