## Summary

The recent procurement process involved the East Sussex County Council, which has awarded a contract for the provision of residential care and support for adults with learning disabilities in the Hastings and Rother area. This contract, identified as "ESCC - 032753", has a total value of £21.6 million and is classified under health and social work services. The contract commenced on 1st February 2022 and will run until 31st January 2028, with an option for a 24-month extension. The procurement method used was an open procedure, and the tender period concluded on 13th July 2021.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses involved in the health and social care sector, particularly those that are SMEs or voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs). Companies with expertise in residential care services, person-centred support, and community engagement initiatives would be particularly well-suited to compete. Additionally, the emphasis on developing flexible support frameworks and the potential for fixed-term placements may attract businesses looking to enhance service delivery for individuals with learning disabilities.
