## Summary

The Medway Council is seeking to procure an Overnight Visiting Support Service, aiming to provide trauma-informed crisis response, advice, and assistance to individuals facing multiple disadvantages. The service will operate overnight out of hours, ensuring staff safety and client group needs. The tender has a total value of GBP 132,600 and falls under the Health and social work services category. The procurement method for this open procedure involves a tender period ending on 24th July 2023 and a contract period lasting from 14th August 2023 to 31st March 2025 in England.

This procurement opportunity by Medway Council can benefit businesses providing services in the Health and social work sector. Companies with expertise in crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, and partnership working with statutory and voluntary agencies would be well-suited to compete. The tender presents a chance for businesses to contribute to improving the well-being and safety of vulnerable populations, offering valuable services in collaboration with public authorities.

## Notice

Medway Council is looking to appoint an Overnight Visiting Support Service. This service is expected to operate overnight out of hours. Anticipated to be a predominantly monitoring service, this would at times be a reactive service which would aim to provide trauma-informed crisis response, advice and assistance and help defuse situations for people facing multiple disadvantages, including assistance to existing accommodation-based partner projects across night-time hours. The service will be required to visit a range of properties and locations. Working out of hours, the service would be expected to ensure the safety of their staff, whilst understanding the needs and risks of the client group and removing barriers to engagement. The service would be required to react and respond to crisis situations and calls for assistance direct from service users and services as appropriate. This will require very robust strategies from the provider, who will need to work in close partnership with other statutory and voluntary agencies as applicable, and also need to make sure that relationships with neighbours are managed effectively.
