## Notice

The University of Exeter's Environment and Sustainability Institute (ESI) is a PS30 million centre leading cutting-edge, interdisciplinary research into solutions to problems of environmental change. In so doing, it is enhancing people's lives by improving their relationships with the environment. The overall objective is to evaluate how well the project has delivered against the original business case parameters and output targets, focussing on capital project delivery (building, procurement and governance) and business engagement activities. The study will be used for a number of purposes: 1. Provide the senior executive team with an overall summary of the delivery of the ESI project in terms of expenditure, processes, governance and lessons learned; 2. Provide the senior executive team with a balanced review of facilities and their alignment with the research goals of the ESI Director and the original business case; 3. Provide the senior executive team with up to date information on the economic impact of the ESI operation in Cornwall & IoS to the end of December 2014; 4. Provide a baseline from which the impact of future development of the ESI's operations in Cornwall may be benchmarked; 5. Examine the ESI's research and knowledge exchange activity in Cornwall & IoS and its impact on the economy of Cornwall; 6. Review recent performance of Cornwall & IoS's economy and establish how this might have influenced projected economic outcomes and results for the ESI; 7. Provide information for Exeter to share with funders and wider stakeholders in Cornwall;
