Worcestershire County Council has a significant programme of major infrastructure and transportation projects in development and delivery. We use a range of procurement strategies and contracts such as design undertaken by our term professional services provider, then construction by a contractor, or a design and build model, using a suitable published form of contract, for example NEC. To provide advice, guidance and assurance and to reduce risk by suggested mitigations, we need independent technical assurance on aspects of these projects. This includes transport model assurance, design assurance, safety review, major planning application comments, project gateway review and construction costs assessments.
