## Notice

The Health and Social Care Act 2012 introduced a statutory duty for Local Authorities to make arrangements for a local Healthwatch to be the Health and social care consumer champion, this replaced the Local Involvement Networks (LINk's) The main service requirement is to provide a local Healthwatch service in line with all the relevant legislation. There is also a strong argument to strengthen the role of Healthwatch to provide the information and advice about NHS and social care services to ensure best value for money. There will also be a requirement to update and manage the data on the Live Well Liverpool data base and the specific directories that data subsequently feeds.
