## Summary

The Guinness Partnership Ltd is embarking on the planning stage of the “Systems Integrator - Guinness Property Transformation Programme Market Testing” tender, which aims to procure a single IT solution for modernising their system architecture. This project focuses on integrating new systems and processes tailored for improved planning and scheduling, following recent organisational transformations in their service delivery. The key milestone for this market engagement is the submission deadline of 19 March 2021, where interested parties can share insights or proposals. All activities will be based in England, United Kingdom, and the relevant industry category is classified under IT services, specifically consulting, software development, Internet, and support.

This tender presents an excellent opportunity for IT service providers, particularly those specialising in systems integration and cloud solutions. Businesses that possess expertise in implementing complex IT architectures and delivering integration solutions via Microsoft Azure would be well-positioned to compete effectively. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), in particular, may find avenues for growth by engaging with The Guinness Partnership, given their focus on market insight prior to the formal procurement process. Interested parties can anticipate potential virtual discussions facilitated through Microsoft Teams, allowing for direct communication and exploration of business capabilities with the contracting authority.

## Notice

Guinness Property (GP) has recently undergone a significant transformation, with resourcing derived from demand, new systems and processes for delivering the work and are now organised on a regional basis: North East, North West, South Central and South Coast with a Planned Maintenance team operating in the North. GP employ around 440 people in total, of which around 70% are field based operatives. The roll-out of new systems and processes to deliver the work has so far focused on repairs. In order to implement new systems and processes redesigned for all other services, a new IT solution for planning and scheduling is required. The Programme is now is ready to move to that next stage which involves the procurement of a single system solution to enable the roll-out and take wider opportunities in line with TGP's IT strategy. This includes the integration of systems via the Azure integration layer, and Cloud hosting of the single system solution. To enable TGP to deliver on these objectives and provide a specialist team for the implementation, TGP plans to embark on the procurement of a Systems Integrator to manage the implementation. Guinness is looking to contract with a Systems Integrator to assist in achieving our goal of modernising the overall system architecture and exploiting the opportunity to move applications onto cloud hosting (saving further operating costs and reducing business risk). The primary role of the Systems Integrator (SI) will be to deliver the end to end design, implement the single system solution and manage work across other third-party suppliers as needed. It is expected that the SI will provide and manage resources to deliver the integrations via the Azure integration layer, whilst the single system provider will be responsible for the design and delivery of the single system configuration. The SI will also be required to produce an initial systems architecture blueprint to identify the integration points that will need to be refactored in the future when the related systems are migrated to the Cloud, and identify how overall system solution performance will be validated. This prior information notice is to signal an intention to commence market engagement with those within the Systems Integrator market. Please contact procurement@guinness.org.uk for a copy of the soft market testing brief including requirements. We would be grateful for any information you are willing to share with us to be sent via email to procurement@guinness.org.uk by 19 March 2021. GP are looking to secure an SI to provide technical expertise and assist in meeting the overall business objectives but would like a better understanding of the market before formally commencing the procurement process. You may be invited to discuss your offering face to face, if necessary. Virtual meetings for the market engagement process will be held using Microsoft Teams. Dates are still to be confirmed but it is anticipated that these will occur in late March 2021.
