## Summary

The procurement process pertains to a contract awarded by the Department for International Development (DFID) for the "DFID 8367 Third Party Monitoring for Strengthening Uganda's Response to Malaria Programme". This initiative falls under the category of foreign economic-aid-related services and is located in regions affected by malaria in Uganda. The contract was awarded on 22nd February 2019 and is active until 30th November 2022, with a total value of £890,448.62. The procurement method employed was selective, involving a call-off from a framework agreement, and the tender period ended on 24th October 2018.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses, particularly those specialising in healthcare services, public health interventions, and community-based management of diseases. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as well as voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs), are well positioned to compete for the services required in this contract. Companies that can provide expertise in malaria prevention strategies, integrated health service delivery, and strengthening public health systems could find this procurement process advantageous for expansion into international markets.
