The whole system is conceived to be affordable, capable of on-and off-street running, marketable, interoperable with existing systems and has low-carbon self-propelled vehicles which are emissions free at the point of use. This project, led by WMG, a department of the University of Warwick, will deliver a demonstrator rail vehicle, with the scope of this contract covering the full turnkey solution for the demonstrator; the detailed design and subsequent manufacture, delivery and commissioning of the proof of concept demonstrator vehicle.
