## Summary

The City of London Corporation has successfully awarded a Framework Agreement for Art Transportation Services to seven suppliers, covering a range of international locations including the UK, Europe, North America, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and worldwide. The procurement, managed by the Barbican Centre, is part of an open procedure designed to service the packing, transport, and storage of fine art and exhibitions. Awarded on 21 July 2025, the contract spans four years, running through to 24 July 2029, with an estimated total value of £3.8 million and an annual value of £950,000. The procurement process was conducted electronically via the capitalESourcing portal, and the project allows for multiple suppliers per Lot, ensuring broad coverage and expertise.

This comprehensive procurement offers significant opportunities for businesses involved in art handling, transportation, storage, and associated services like technical assistance and project management. The successful tenderers, such as Crown Fine Art and Constantine Limited, highlight the diversity of supplier scale from SMEs to larger firms, making this an attractive proposition for businesses of all sizes looking to expand in the cultural logistics sector. The lack of exclusivity under the Framework Agreement offers additional opportunities for other firms to engage with similar services, nurturing a competitive environment conducive to business growth in transport services focusing on art and exhibition logistics.
