The key focus of Wirral Council and its partners is to prevent homelessness wherever possible, with recognition that in those instances where this cannot be achieved then appropriate housing with support is available. The needs of homeless people in Wirral have changed significantly in recent years and we are now seeing increased numbers of rough sleepers, increasing demand for supported housing services and increasing numbers of young homeless people that present with multiple and complex support need.
