## Summary

The Ministry of Justice is planning an engagement opportunity titled "Enforcement of Confiscation Orders", which aims to explore potential capabilities and services to improve the enforcement of confiscation orders issued by the Crown Court. This initiative, which falls under the electronic intelligence system category, is based in London, England. The engagement exercise concludes on 29th November 2021, and an online event via MS Teams is scheduled for 30th November 2021. This process is designed to identify partnerships for enhanced enforcement, separate from previous government efforts, and does not constitute a competitive tender.

This engagement presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in legal services, financial and insurance services, as well as data analysis and collection services. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are encouraged to participate, as they may have innovative approaches that can contribute to the enforcement strategies being sought. Engaging in this process allows businesses to network with the Ministry of Justice and position themselves for future contracts related to the enforcement of confiscation orders.

## Notice

The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) is conducting an engagement exercise to explore potential capability or services available which may support improvements to the enforcement of confiscation orders. A confiscation order is made in the Crown Court after conviction to deprive the defendant of their benefit from crime. The exercise aims to identify and explore opportunities for public-private partnerships in the enforcement of confiscation orders. This exercise is separate to previous activity conducted by other government departments and will be seeking feedback on specific proposals beyond debt considered problematic to enforce. An engagement event will be held via MS Teams webinar on 30th November 2021. Details of how to register your interest, access introductory information and attend the event can be found within this notice. This notice relates to an opportunity to engage and is not a call for competition. For the avoidance of doubt, the use of a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) is used solely for the purposes of expressions of interest and to act as a system mechanism for sharing information and communicating with interested parties. There is no requirement to complete a questionnaire or submit information. This notice relates to an engagement opportunity and is not a call for competition or an invitation to take part in pre-qualification proceedings.
