The purpose of the service is to provide a secure information system to store details of stop smoking activity undertaken by community pharmacies, GP practices and other community based providers in Southend. The system should provide "real time" access for both the provider and the Stop Smoking Service to facilitate improved patient care and dynamic reporting of outcomes. The service requires the secure input and reporting of patient level health data with appropriate safeguards to protect individual data. For clarity Southend-on-Sea Borough Council is the data controller and any potential provider would be the data processer in respect of any Personal Data. The estimated contract value is PS6,000 per annum for the information system.
