## Summary

The EMLC Academy Trust is seeking tenders for cleaning services to be provided across its schools, specifically Northampton International Academy, Stimpson Avenue Academy, and Prince William School, located in the East Midlands region of the United Kingdom. This procurement process is currently at the award stage, having been published on 5th July 2018, following a tender period that ended on 4th December 2017. The contract is valued at approximately £1,110,000 and is set for a duration of three years, commencing on 1st April 2018 and concluding on 31st March 2024, with an option to extend for a further three years. The procurement method employed is the selective method, adhering to a restricted procedure above the threshold.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in cleaning services, particularly those equipped with innovative solutions and a strong focus on quality management, to engage with a growing Multi Academy Trust that anticipates further expansion during the contract term. Companies that are experienced in delivering high-quality cleaning services within educational settings, as well as those that can demonstrate compliance with BICSc standards, will be well-positioned to compete effectively. The anticipated growth of the Trust, which may lead to increased contract value, further enhances the potential for business development in this sector.

## Notice

The successful Supplier will be required to provide cleaning services for the EMLC Academy Trust (the Client) at the following schools: - Northampton International Academy (NIA), NN2 6AX. - Stimpson Avenue Academy, NN1 4LR. - Prince William School, PE8 4BS. EMLC is a Multi Academy Trust which includes the above schools, where the successful Supplier will be required to deliver a service and meet the requirements of the specification from the contract commencement. The contract being tendered is for 3 years in duration from 1.4.2018 until 31.3.2021, with the option to extend for a further term of 3 years and will be fixed price in nature, with the Supplier invoicing the Client for 1/12th of the annual cost on a monthly basis. The basis and rationale that the Client requires the successful Supplier to operate to at all times, is being able to provide an environment that is fit for purpose and that the Supplier is proactive in the management of the contract, thus ensuring that all specifications are achieved within all schools and that the frequency of service delivered is as detailed within the tender specification. The tender project is seeking to appoint a Supplier whose initiative and innovation will be welcomed for the provision of services to the EMLC Academy Trust. The high quality service levels proposed should maintain excellent standards throughout the contract term, with a firm focus being on the quality of service being delivered. It should be noted that the successful contractor will be expected to bring to the contract: innovation; new equipment; and cleaning methods, with BICSc standards being achieved, as a minimum, thus ensuring that the highest levels of cleanliness are maintained in all areas at all times and also ensuring that the productivity of the cleaning operatives is enhanced moving forward into the new contract term. The Trust is expected to grow in the number of schools becoming part of the Trust during this contract period, and the provision of cleaning services within these schools when they have joined the Trust may fall under the scope of this contract. The successful Supplier will be expected to provide this service within these schools using the same costing model, ratios etc., that they applied to their successful tender submission for the Trust at the point of tender submission. The duration of contract for these schools will not be increased and they will join the contract for the remaining contract period that exists at the point of entry into the Trust. The current annual value of the contract is approximately 185 000 GBP plus VAT per annum. However, depending on the number of schools that join the Trust and the growth within NIA, it is anticipated that this annual value will increase over the contract term.
