A function of AEC is to collect data from a wide variety of sensors, Farm Management Information Systems (FMIS) and other sources spread throughout a national network of associated farms. This data is then used for research and development of agricultural technology, as a source of data for design, implementation, and testing. The collection and storage are currently achieved manually and is subject to data loss, slow data collection and poor quality. The intention of AEC is to automate this ETL process and then to expand upon the capabilities that provides. The arable data integrator we are looking for will create a single access point for AEC to access data from its farm network, whilst also providing that farm network with the data analytics and information creation necessary to support farming decision making.
