## Summary

The WWF-UK (World Wide Fund for Nature) Trading Limited is initiating a procurement process for a project titled "Framework to Decrease Deforestation and Land Use Impact of UK's Financial Sector." This tender falls under the services category, specifically focusing on environmental impact assessment and consultancy related to environmental issues. The procurement is currently in the Tender stage, with submissions due by 12:00 on 26th February 2021. The contract period is set to commence on 8th March 2021 and run until 31st July 2021. The project will take place in the South East of the United Kingdom, with a total budget of £60,000, and a minimum value of £40,000. The procurement method is an open procedure below threshold, allowing a wider range of bidders to participate.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses engaged in environmental consultancy and impact assessments, particularly those with expertise in corporate policy and legal frameworks. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are well-suited to compete, given the potential for innovative solutions that influence financial sector discussions and practices. Providers must focus on crafting a concise proposal that aligns with the desired outcomes listed in the tender documentation to maximise their chances of success.

## Notice

WWF is commissioning a report to influence discussions ahead of COP26 on mandatory due diligence of the financial sector. The report will look at what model mandatory due diligence standard and framework for finance might look like, from both a corporate policy and a legal framework perspective. It will also assess existing best practices in the finance sector on corporate due diligence. This piece of work will lay the groundwork for our advocacy over the coming years and provide a foundation for discussions on how to reduce the UK's international climate and environmental footprint. It will result in a publication, targeted towards policymakers and private sector finance (i.e. banks and investors). Your proposal should be no more than 6 pages (excluding CVs) and relate to the list of 9 points set out in the document. Any potential providers can contact Alison Midgley (amidgley@wwf.org.uk) copied to Ray Dhirani (RDhirani@wwf.org.uk) with any queries, until Monday the 22nd February 2021. We request that all responses are returned to us by Friday the 26th February 2021. A decision will be made as soon as possible with a view to the project in March 2021.
