The Appropriate Adult (AA) service is designed to ensure that every young person and vulnerable adult in detention at a police station will have their rights and welfare safeguarded by an Appropriate Adult, when no parent, guardian or other adult carer is available to fulfil this role. The Reparation service will work with young offenders.
