## Summary

The Board of Trustees of the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew is currently in the planning stage for the "RBG Kew EAP and Health Cash Plan Early Market Engagement" procurement process. The project falls under the Health and Social Work Services category (CPV: 85000000) and is located in Richmond, England (postal code TW9 3AE). This early market engagement aims to gather input for a future procurement exercise to extend the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) and health cash plan benefits to all employees, approximately 1,400 in total. Interested suppliers are invited to participate by completing a questionnaire and returning it to Eleanor Maclean (e.maclean@kew.org) by 27 September 2024.

This tender offers substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in employee assistance, health benefits, and related services. Particularly suitable for SMEs and VCSEs, this engagement provides a chance to collaborate with a prestigious institution and potentially secure a contract that serves a significant workforce. Companies experienced in providing comprehensive health and wellbeing solutions will find this opportunity especially lucrative, given the scale of the potential contract and the possibility of establishing long-term relationships with the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew.

## Notice

Kew currently operates an Employee Assistance Programme for our workforce (headcount approx. 1400). We also have a company-paid health cash plan benefit in place for a small sub-set of employees (circa 177). Both contracts are due to end 31/07/2025. We are currently reviewing the provision with the intention of carrying out a procurement exercise later this year. As part of this we are exploring the feasibility of extending the company paid Health Cash Plan benefit to all employees (circa 1400) as part of our employee benefits and wellbeing offer (subject to affordability), with an integrated EAP as part of the offer. We welcome responses from all interested suppliers. Additional information: If you are interested in participating in this early market engagement exercise please complete the attached questionnaire and return it to Eleanor Maclean e.maclean@kew.org by 27/09/2024. Thank you
