## Summary

The Somerset County Council is leading a procurement process for a four-year Framework Agreement titled "Framework Agreement for the Provision of Civil Debt Enforcement Agent Services". This initiative is aimed at providing civil debt enforcement services to both Somerset and Dorset County Councils. The procurement falls within the bailiff services industry and is currently in the Award stage, with the contract period running from 22nd September 2017 to 21st September 2021. The estimated contract value is £1,000,000. Please note that the procurement method used is an open procedure, and the tender period concluded on 10th April 2017.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in debt enforcement and bailiff services, particularly those capable of managing the enforcement of unpaid penalty charge notices. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) may find this a suitable opportunity, enhanced by the requirement for high-quality service delivery without price weighting in the evaluation. Given the approximate issuance of 2,500 warranted cases annually in Somerset and 1,000 in Dorset, firms that can showcase their expertise in efficient debt recovery processes will be well-positioned to compete for this framework agreement.
