Apprentices will be employed direct by DCMS so therefore DCMS do not intend to appoint an Apprenticeship Training Agency. DCMS must be able to recover the cost of training using the Apprentice Levy. The intention is to draw down from our levy to award a contract to a training provider that offers value for money. Providers must be able to claim directly from government for apprentices who start the apprentice training after 1 May 2017. All bidding organisations must meet the ESFA's rules set out in the Apprenticeship funding and performance management rules for training providers, which can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/apprenticeship-funding-and-performance-management-rules-2017-to-2018 Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs).
