## Summary

Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) recently completed a public procurement process for the supply and installation of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs). This tender, identified as "Agreement for AED / Defibrillators basic level responder", falls under the healthcare goods category (CPV code: 33182100). The procurement was conducted using an open procedure, with the final bid submission deadline on 1st March 2018. The contract was awarded to Wel Medical Ltd for a total value of £75,537, with the contract period set from 1st June 2018 to 31st May 2022. The project is located in the North West region of the United Kingdom, and the tender process is currently noted as complete.

This procurement opportunity presents significant growth potential for businesses in the medical equipment and supplies sector, particularly those specialising in defibrillators and emergency healthcare products. Companies offering innovative and compliant AED solutions, especially those that cater to public accessibility and educational institutions, would be well-positioned to compete. The tender's structure, which encourages SMEs, suggests that smaller firms with relevant expertise could leverage their agility and customer-focused solutions to bid successfully. Firms that provide services and installation capabilities for such life-saving equipment may also find valuable opportunities within this sector.
