This would cover the preliminary and detailed design of: * Two new hot cells (HC4 & HC5) as an extension of the existing hot cell line, each containing a mobile inner containment. * The integration of advanced sample fabrication equipment (Viteris VHMC03-UKAEA) and mechanical test equipment (walter+bai LFV-20 kN with climate chamber and furnaces from Severn Thermal Solutions, all supplied by DWE Scientific Limited) into the inner containments from HC4 and HC5 respectively. This would include the provision of all services (power, fluids, cooling, gases, hydraulics) necessary to operate the equipment * Two fully serviced docking stations in the active store for the mobile inner containments when not in the hot cells. * Provision of 'active' ventilation system to the new cells. In addition, upgrades to the existing ventilation systems on all cells to meet new UKAEA safety requirements.
