Commissioners are looking to establish what interest there might be in providing such a service from suitably qualified, capable and competent organisations. NHS England will not be liable for costs incurred by any interested party in participating in this exercise. Interested parties should note that a response to this notice does not guarantee an automatic invitation to any subsequent formal procurement, which the commissioners will consider in due course. The overarching aim of the re-commissioning exercise is to secure a provider(s) when the current contract with the incumbent provider ends on the 31st July 2024 for an expected duration of 5 years from 1st August 2024. This is likely to be published May/June 2023. Please note that NHS England are running a separate procurement process for School Aged Immunisations in Devon, for a 6 year contract from 1st August 2023. The opportunity for this is expected to be published Mid-December 2022, therefore the above expression of interest does not include Devon. School Aged Immunisation (SAI) programmes provide vaccinations to all children and young people of school age, whether they attend state school, independent school, complex needs schools or alternative settings. Children and young people that are educated at home can attend community clinics. Vaccinations are provided, on behalf of the NHS, in line with the Routine childhood Immunisation programme which aims to prevent school aged children from developing vaccine preventable childhood diseases that are associated with significant mortality and morbidity. This procurement is being carried out by NHS South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit (SCW) on behalf of the Commissioners.
