## Summary

The Equality and Human Rights Commission has awarded a tender titled "Prejudice and unlawful behaviour: building capability and evaluating 'what works' (Lot 5)" within the social research services industry category. This procurement process is marked as complete, with the award date being 2nd December 2016. The contract, valued at £11,000, commenced on 5th December 2016 and is scheduled to conclude on 31st March 2017. The tender was conducted through an open procedure, allowing a broad range of suppliers to participate.

This project presents significant opportunities for businesses focused on social research, evaluation, and training services aimed at combating prejudice and discrimination. Companies that specialise in collaborative research, particularly those capable of working in consortiums or possessing strong evaluative capabilities, would be well-positioned to engage with this procurement. The emphasis on robust evaluation and the ability to provide effective interventions makes this a pertinent opportunity for both small and voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations keen to expand their impact in this critical area.

## Notice

The aim of the project is to 'lift the floor' on 'what works' to tackle prejudice, discrimination and identity-based violence and harassment by: * Building capability through evaluation guidance and training (Lot 1) * Robustly evaluating the effectiveness of promising interventions (Lots 2-5). Suppliers can bid for one or more Lots - see section 11 for further detail. Please note that the Commission is interested in consortium bids where the research needs of the projects may not be met to a high standard within one organisation and will also accept bids from single, capable organisations. The two Lots are designed to take place in parallel and it would be desirable for the work of one Lot to inform the other. Because of this, it is important that the successful bidder(s) are willing to work collaboratively, where appropriate. The Commission will put successful bidders in touch with each other, if necessary, following appointments.
